Cheap Hotels and Stylish Seaside Holidaying on the French Riviera

An enticing Mediterranean climate, timeless scenery and excellent shopping are just some of the draws for holidaymakers heading to the Cote d’Azur – otherwise known as the French Riverira. This stylish choice is sometimes thought of as a destination for wealthy travellers, but it is equally possible to enjoy all the region’s delights on a budget as well. Some good quality, yet cheap hotels can be found right along the coastline if you know where – and when – to look.

The French Riviera is made up of several cities and towns along France’s Southern coast. Most are connected by the railway and Nice Cote d’Azur airport is the second largest in France, making it a great city to base yourself in if you plan on travelling exploring the coastline. A walk down the historic Promenade des Anglais and you’ll understand what Nice is really about. From the sea stretching out on one side to the snow-capped peaks of the Alps on the other, it’s hard not to be impressed. Meanwhile, an array of cheap hotels also makes this a sensible place to stay.

For a more luxurious break, head to Cannes. It’s a great place if you’ve got money to burn – with nearly every designer boutique worth mentioning and some of the hottest night spots in the world. The seaside offers travellers a choice of great cafes and restaurants and beautiful sandy shores, brilliant for sunbathing. If you want to fit in with the locals, be sure you get dressed up to the nines when you’re out in the evening as the town is all about glitz and glamour. Visit out of season and you’ll find some great deals on cheap hotels.

A more low key and affordable destination is Menton. Once belonging to Genoa, this tiny town still has a very strong Italian influence. It’s truly charming with cobbled streets and medieval architecture. Holiday-goers will enjoy the town’s shops, gardens and museums. There are also several cheap hotels in the area, making it a great to base yourself if you want to travel between the French and Italian coasts.

General, Organic, and Biological ChemistryGeneral, Organic, and Biological ChemistryGENERAL, ORGANIC, AND BIOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY makes the allied health major's Chemistry classtime more efficient and productive. Clear explanations, engaging and useful visual support, and powerful teaching tools combine to make this textbook the ideal choice. Author Stephen Stoker ensures appropriate preparation for biochemistry by revising the biochemistry chapters first and then tailoring the general and organic sections to support that presentation. Early chapters focus on fundamental chemical principles while later chapters build on the foundation of these principles, developing the concepts and applications central to organic and biological chemistry. Stoker also appropriately restricts the coverage of mathematics to only what is necessary, and can now be purchased with OWL (Online-Web-based Learning) for the first time.
